As part of the new Highpoint $300 million development, I headed to the media preview of the new SuperGlue store. As the team of merchandisers we hard at work finishing the store, I took a tour which went for well over an hour, lead through the womens section by the lovely head womenswear buyer, and the mens by the new store manager. The length of the tour was because of the extensive detail they both went into about the store. They were both so passionate about what they did, the brands they worked with, the product they sold and the company they were apart of. As I discussed with the womenswear buyer(who was so extremely nice but I forgot her name and I feel terrible) retail experiences need to be new and interesting, bringing things to the next level - and Glue have done exactly that with the SuperGlue Store.
I'm not going to go into the details of the store which does include a cafe, custom denim atelier (currently with staff flown from Amsterdam), international issues of all your favourite magazines and a wall of Vans(hipster kids eat your hearts out) because you should just go and see it for your self.
